I'm not exactly keen on dropping over $200 on a single game that interests me when I might not ever use the console for any other games at all, as it seems like a bit of a waste. Ideally I would want to play the game on the TurboGrafx-16 for the most authentic experience considering that I'm something of a purist, but realistically it might not be as viable of an option since I'm not exactly an avid, nor experienced retrogamer as many others on this subreddit certainly are. The Splatterhouse games have always intrigued me because of my affinity for cheesy '80's slasher and horror films, but what's the best, easiest, most affordable way to play this game in the present day? I've never owned a TurboGrafx-16 and it seems quite expensive to get one online as all of the listings I've found are $130+, and the game itself seems to range anywhere from $60 - $100 depending on condition.
